Environment Agency takes Enforcement Action against Rathlin Energy after 14 breaches in 4 months

The Environment Agency is taking Enforcement Action, the toughest response available to it, against Rathlin Energy after 14 breaches in 4 months at their West Newton oil & gas exploration well.

It has emerged this is the reason why testing work has not commenced at Crawberry Hill, Rathlin Energy's other site in East Yorkshire.

Rathlin Energy are currently in the process of applying for planning permission for a 3rd site- West Newton B.
